Overall strategic guidance of the Thina Sinako Provincial LED Support Programme is provided by its Programme Steering Committee (PSC), which meets once a quarter. The PSC is chaired by the Director-General of the Province, and includes the heads of key Provincial Government institutions, the Municipal Managers of all the District Municipalities, the City Managers of the Nelson Mandela Metro and the Buffalo City Municipality, the provincial leadership of chambers of business, COSATU, the Eastern Cape NGO Coalition and the Small Enterprise Development Agency, representatives of the national Department of Local Government and Housing, and representatives of the Delegation of the European Commission to South Africa.
Where heads of institutions cannot attend PSC meetings, they are represented by their nominated alternates.Reporting to the Executive Council, Province of the Eastern Cape, is from the PSC through the Economic Growth and Infrastructure Cluster and Cabinet Committee.
Coordination between the key Provincial partner organisations in support of the Programme is reviewed on a monthly basis by the Programme Coordination Group (PCG). The PCG is chaired by the Head of the Provincial Treasury, and provides a forum where the key provincial partner organisations can reflect, collectively, on how they are contributing to the development of an integrated provincial LED support system through the implementation of this Programme.
