NAFCOC praises training
Posted: 22 November 2006 | Source: PGTMembers of the Project Generation Team, supported by short-term experts, have been engaged in training support to a number of stakeholder groups in the Alfred Nzo District. The aim of this training has not only been to prepare people for the grant fund application process, but also to assist in the development of a shared understanding of LED and the roles of various stakeholders in making LED a reality. Although participants in our training workshops have generally been enthusiastic about their experiences, a particularly positive response has been received from NAFCOC.
We will further deepen our training support early in the new year, when people selected from each of the district municipal areas in the Province and the Nelson Mandela Metro will be trained as LED facilitators. The Programme Coordination Unit will also devote resources to the development of training material that is appropriate to the Province and the emerging implementation lessons.
