Last PSC meeting for 2006
Posted: 05 December 2006 | Source: PCUThe last meeting of the Programme Steering Committee (PSC) for 2006 was held on 4 December 2006 in Bhisho. PSC members were given feedback on the project generation activities undertaken by the PGT in preparation for the launch of the second call for proposals to the Local Competitiveness Fund (LCF). Note was taken of the encouraging growth in the size of the pipeline of projects, and of the need for the development of active networks of institutions that can contribute to the generation of projects and the provision of implementation support.
The PSC also took note of the restructuring of the Programme Coordination Unit (PCU) as approved by the Provincial Treasury (in its capacity as the Contracting Authority) and the Delegation of the European Commission to South Africa. This restructruring was aimed at fine-tuning the PCU for the implementation work planned for 2007.
PSC meetings for 2007 will be scheduled on the 2007 Provincial Calender.
