Warning: charging of application fee
Posted: 18 June 2007 | Source: PCUIt has come to our attention that certain persons advertising themselves as consultants have requested an application fee for the processing of applications to the Thina Sinako grant funds. Please note that NO application fees are chargeable for applications to our grant funds. Although many grant fund applicants make use of consultants to assist them in completing the application forms, NO consultant has any influence over the grant fund evaluation process.
We also do NOT have ANY agreements with ANY consultants to provide brokerage services for us, and do NOT require an application fee for ANY application to our grant funds. The evaluation process itself is run in a fair and transparent manner, in terms of which all applications are given equal consideration, no matter who supported their development.
Please take great care when consultants attempt to tie you into any consultancy fees that cannot be directly tied to the particular support that they provide to you. Also, please note that grant funding, once awarded, can be accessible ONLY to the grant fund beneficiary - direct access to such funds by any other party is to be avoided, particularly as the grant fund beneficiary will be held directly responsible for all expenditure of grant funds awarded to him/her.
